Later today, I will send out another newsletter that addresses, among other things, the false information campaign being waged by Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and their benefactors. The latest manifestation of that appears to be the tragic explosion at a Gaza hospital that has taken numerous lives. Of course, Hamas and others were quick to blame Israel. But it now appears that it was one or more Islamic Jihad rockets that fell short. I will write further on this once I know more.
But I want to share with you the opinion written by Yossi Klein Halevi. Halevi is the author of many well respected books and columns, including Letters to My Palestinian Neighbors. I share this with you and urge you to read it because I have been inundated with requests to read various articles and opinion pieces that all center around some manifestation of Israel should not go into Gaza to eliminate Hamas or that focus more on issues with Netanyahu or the West Bank than the evil both next door and afar. Although I do not agree with everything Halevi says, what he says is excellent background for what is now, and will soon come to be.

To all my readers. For the last few days, I have been sending this newsletter out daily. I will slow the pace to every two or three days now, unless events require otherwise. I will also devote special editions to rebutting articles or opinion pieces I find especially objectionable that have wide circulation.
And, to those who have recently become subscribers—I thank you so much. And, to those who have been with me from early on, you formed the base from which views of this newsletter has increased—from three to tenfold depending on the issue. And so I thank you very much too.
Collectively, we have a job to do. To do our small part to give Israel the space and time to eradicate Hamas. And to help ensure that Israel survives.
And to all of you receiving this bi-monthly newsletter, please write to me about what you think could be improved. While normally this newsletter exclusively focuses on Hezbollah, October 7, 2023, mandates that for now I do something different. And, of course, unsubscribe if you would rather not get this. But, if you think it worthwhile, please forward this newsletter to anybody who you think would be interested in reading it.
Hamas Network Spreads Dangerous Disinformation—Flash Brief from Foundation for Defense of Democracies—October 13, 2023—“Hamas is facing an unmitigated public relations disaster. The terrorist group is trying to present its gunmen as principled by broadcasting clips of them releasing female and child hostages or even denying that they attacked civilians. Meanwhile, Hamas’ supporters have tried to downplay the group’s atrocities by claiming that Hamas only murdered children but didn’t behead them,” said David May from FDD. REALLY? THEY THINK THEIR IMAGE WOULD BE IMPROVED BY ONLY MURDERING CHIDLREN?
Hamas’ Leadership and America’s Extradition Option—Written by CDR. David Levy for The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies—October 16, 2023 - This fascinating piece presents a way for America to bloodlessly ratchet up the pressure on Hamas leadership by extraditing its leaders living outside of Gaza.
